  • Are units furnished?

    No. Furnishings are not provided.

  • How many people can live in an apartment?

    Max occupancy for a studio is x2 residents and x3 for one bedroom.

  • What are the rental screening criteria and what do I need to be approved?

  • Do you allow guarantors?

    Yes. Depending on the screening results of the residential application, approval with conditions that a guarantor may be an option. 

  • Do guarantors have to apply and pay the fee also?

    Yes, applications for residential and guarantors are completely separate, all individuals must apply and be screened. A separate fee is charged for screening.

  • Is this property pet-friendly?

    Yes, we allow pets! Our leasing team can discuss breed restrictions and applicable fees. 

  • Is there air conditioning and heating?

    Yes, there is a system that provides electric heating and cooling in your unit. A smart thermostat is also provided to program temperatures tailored to your needs.

  • Is there a maintenance team?

    The maintenance team services several buildings in the neighborhood and they are available as needed. Please fill out a maintenance request form on your online resident portal. The form will request that you provide details of the issue, any troubleshooting you may have done, and any applicable photos. Once received, your request will be evaluated for urgency and a maintenance technician will respond.

  • How many apartments are there?

    Marko Apartments is a 6-story building with 60 studios and 2 one-bedroom, walk-up units, accessed on grade. 

  • When is my first payment due?

    Your first rent payment is due before access is granted to the building and your unit. Payment can be made through our online resident portal. 

  • When do I pay the deposit?

    After your application has been approved you will be invited to provide the deposit through our online resident portal. Once the deposit is paid, we take your, we take your desired apartment off the market and hold it for 72 hours giving you time to read and sign your leases. Deposits are refundable at move out.

  • How do I pay my rent?

    Rent payment are accepted through out online portal system. Paperless transactions via Credit card or e-check payment options available offering convenience for you to choose how you pay your rent.

  • Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

    Yes. you can view your balance and pay with a debit card or a Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover credit card using our online resident portal. A transaction fee is applied for payments made by credit card and fee varies by credit card company.

  • How close to campus are you?

    1.1 Miles – 4 Minute Drive, 20 Minute Walk, or 9 minute commute via Metro Transit

  • Is this location commuter-friendly?

    Yes, Marko Dinkytown is minutes from downtown, 35W and I94.  

  • What is the neighborhood like?

    Marko Dinkytown is centrally located in between Dinkytown, Central, Downtown, and Northeast Minneapolis. Offering easy access to shopping, breweries, and outdoor recreation.

  • How do utilities work?

    $60/person monthly charge for water, sewer and trash utilities. Units are individually metered for electricity usage and residents are responsible for managing their own accounts. 

  • What type of internet service is provided to residents?

    Each apartment is equipped with build in modem and Wi-Fi network through Century Link- On Fiber internet service. Your home network can be activated on your move in day in less than 1 minute for instant on internet service. 

  • Is there off-street parking?

    Yes, off-street parking is offered, when available, for an additional monthly fee. 

  • Is laundry included in the unit?

    Yes, every unit comes equipped with in-unit laundry. 

  • Is there after-hours emergency maintenance?

    Yes, our team monitors around the clock for assistance in the case of an emergency. 

  • What is the AppFolio Resident Portal?

    This is the same system you used to pay your deposit and sign your lease and can be downloaded from the app store or google play. This portal allows you to pay rent online, submit a maintenance request, and view important documents. 

  • Will you send me a bill for each installment?

    You will get monthly rent reminders sent to you via email through our online tenant portal. Please keep in mind you are able to set up autopay for your convenience!
